Karrie Kwong

Founder & Executive Producer

Karrie Kwong is a Chinese-Canadian actor and producer based in Toronto, Ontario.

Her directorial debut and Yellow Daffodil Productions’ first film, What Really Matters, has enjoyed film festival selections and accolades, including the Audience’s Choice Award at the Toronto Short Film Festival and Best New Filmmaker at the Canadian Diversity Film Festival.

Karrie’s recent acting credits include The Recruit (Netflix), Fly Away With Me (Hallmark), and Pretty Hard Cases (CBC).

Her love of storytelling and creation stems from the desire to shine a light on the thoughts and feelings that often trouble the hearts and minds of women—especially women of colour—so that they may feel seen, heard, and understood. She aims to create work that resonates with an engaged audience, foster meaningful collaborations, and actively hire women and people of colour to increase representation both on screen and behind the scenes—because who tells the story matters.
